On-Load Change Over
An on-load changeover switch (also known as an on-load transfer switch or simply changeover switch) is an electrical switch designed to transfer an electrical load from one source or circuit to another while the load is still powered and operational. In other words, it allows you to change the power source or circuit while electrical current is flowing through it. This is in contrast to off-load changeover switches, which require the load to be disconnected before switching.
On-load changeover switches are typically used in situations where a continuous power supply is critical and cannot be interrupted during the transfer process.
On-load changeover switches are often more complex and robust than off-load changeover switches to handle the complexities of transferring power while under load. They may incorporate features such as synchronization and advanced control systems to ensure that the transition is seamless and safe.
